How can internet explorer (IE) 8 default download location.

This is absolutely shocking but as far as I run a quick query on the net there is no default way to change default Internet Explorer 8 Download Folder. Instead you need to use a registry.
Go to Start -> Run -> type regedit and enter
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Internet Explorer
Create a new String value with key Download Directory and set the value to a valid directory (ex: C:\Download) * if this key already exists, just modify the value to your user ( C:\Users\your-user\Desktop/) and save it. Well welcome to the wonderful world of Windows ! Its simply isn’t it? 🙂
