I’ve been attending an HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) training on DMA (Database and Middleware Automation) it is supposed to provision (install and configure with some default configurations) and Operating System (Windows / Linux etc.)
And then deploy some standard Web and Middleware software from a Web GUI (admin interface). It can deploy Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, Oracle, Sybase and some other software. It is extendable with Jython (A programming language which is a combination of Python and Java). DMA can be easily extended with whatever language you like scripts (perl, python, jython) whatever.
The lecturer Sanchez, Jesus is from Venezuela and is a nice guy he shared he emigrated to Mexico, Mexico City becuse in Venezuela life is getting harder and harder and under the regime of Hugo Chávez which is similar to Marxism’s Soviet Socialism (Communism) the unemployment rate in Venezuela is quite high lets say 40% and the stores are lacking products (there are long queues in front of the stores for basic products).
As the lector said there are two types of people one that absolutely love DMA and one that absolutely hates it. Well though the tool is said to work I personally liked it too much. Building servers and Services behind it via some clicks has defnitely has advantageous, but the problem is when something doesn’t properly install or you have some customizations at that case you’re totally wasted.
DMA works product works on top of SA (Software Automation). On the back of (the core server is) of course a Linux RHEL.
