What is Linux’s du -hsc AIX Unix equivalent?
If you happen to have to do some directory size check up on AIX you will notice the standard du -hsc . or du -hsc directory/ doesn’t work, so how to check the directory size?
One way is to use df command to so, like so:bash-2.05a$ df -g GTIRDB/.
Filesystem GB blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on
/dev/lvs_gtirdb 150.00 16.77 89% 28765 1% /GTIRDBSecond way is with du but with slightly different options:
bash-2.05a$ du -sm GTIRDB/
136391.02 GTIRDB/
bash-2.05a$ du -sm GTIRDB/*
0.01 GTIRDB/-L

Very useful command with du on AIX is:
du -sm *
